Audi V8-powered Pagani Zonda replica packs more than 500 bhp

This is the Pagani Zonda i (inspired), a replica which underneath the skin is a 1989 Ford Scorpio. It was listed on eBay a short while ago and someone actually paid £7,100 to own the car which is powered by a twin-turbo Audi V8 3.7-liter engine that "sounds and runs awesomely!" according to the listing. The owner says that with professionally-made mapping the engine could be tuned to deliver more than 550 bhp in a car that weighs less than 900 kg.

The Audi V8-powered Pagani Zonda i is 4395mm long, 2055mm wide and 1151mm tall, with a 2730mm wheelbase and 19-inch wheels receiving the engine's power from a 5-speed gearbox sourced from an unspecified Audi model. It benefits from a carbon fiber rear wing, electric power steering, HD rearview camera, rear parking sensors and a quad exhaust setup.

The previous owner says that "on paper" the car could do 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 2.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 187 mph (300 km/h).
